WHAT IS CODERSALES?

CoderSales is a sales/business development training resource (and soon to be sales bootcamp) utilizing our combined experience of 20 years to help freelance software developers & agency owners increase their bottom line. It was put together by a (former) freelance software developer AND top sales performer. The idea came to be because I saw a stigma even BEFORE I was in development. Movies, social media, everywhere really portrays software developers as introvert and socially inept people. Pretty shitty since developers are in such huge demand, right? How many companies use technology today? And with the Coronavirus spreading, freelance software developers can be introduced to some great opportunity in a bleak period.

My background prior to tech was in media sales as a top performing salesman (not a big deal) for much of my 5 year career. I had clients like US Army, LiftMaster, Escort Radar and Mattel. After I quit my job, I pursued the idea of learning how to code. Every company needs a developer right??? I locked myself in my apartment and built as much as I could. Fast forward about 9 months and it was time to apply for a job. NOPE. I didn’t get one interview. :/

Change of plan. Let’s go the freelance route. With the skills I learned from magazine sales, I landed my first client within about 2 weeks. I applied prospecting, overcoming objections, proper presentation skills, asking the right questions and trial closes. Basically the same methodical principals I learned in the magazine sales world applied with tech. I closed the 3rd company I got in front of.

CoderSales will teach you all of that and more. We’re in a time where companies need to stay relevant in order to survive, there’s opportunities if you know where to look.
